In 2025, Canada imposed 25% tariffs on $30 billion of U.S. goods, effective March 4, with plans to potentially expand to $155 billion, in retaliation to U.S. 25% tariffs on Canadian imports like steel and aluminum. These measures aim to protect Canadian industries but have raised concerns about higher costs and strained U.S.-Canada trade relations.
PM should tell Trump that he’s great and perfect and Trump will leave us alone and remove the tariffs.

Remove tariffs, increase prices on energy products. Open free trade agreements with other countries and reduce purchases from the USA

retaliatory tariffs need to be done very strategically as they do run the risk of hurting Canadians more. It has to be worth the pain.

Only if it truly improves the Canadian economy and embetters the lives of Canadians, but maybe the answer should be no because it is better to support US manufactorers than to support sweatshops from developing countries

Hard topic but the tariffs will increase on both sides unless we negotiate or retaliate in a different way
