Should the government raise taxes on the rich?

The definition of rich needs to be defined here

Doctors, who are desperately needed in this country, should not be taxed at over 50% on ANY income. This is just one example. $250k of annual income is not even close to the top 1% of income earners. the tax brackets should progress much more gradually up to millions of annual income.
