In an article posted in 2023, written by Laura Osman - The Canadian Press, for CBC, they state that the average score of Canadians that took the Citzenship Test was 49%, when the minimum score to pass is 75%. This means that less than 25%(a quarter) of Canadian Citizens would actually pass the test that would allow them to become a Canadian Citizen if they weren’t already. This data only helps show that when someone has Canadian Citizenship and still aren’t a ‘perfect citizen’, that maybe a similar amount of leniency should be applied to those looking for a similar opportunity.
