Any pregnant could be a danger to the child or mother

There are so many complications in pregnant and child birth, whether physical or psychological. Pregnant women also face an increase in domestic violence. An unwanted child, or a child that a mother is not ready to raise will face hardship in their upbringing, mental health, and living circumstances. It’s not fair to bring a child into the world if the parents feels as though they are not in a place where they can sustainable and ethically provide for that child. The foster system is overwhelmed and underfunded, and a child put into those systems because a mother was forced to carry till term will also face the same hardships in upbringing, mental health, and living circumstances. Forcing someone to carry and birth a child they do not want to keep is just overall harmful to the pregnant individual and that future child. The argument that it is a life does not outweigh the consequences to all parties involved.
