Because I am a social worker I personally would not feel comfortable answering to the call of an domestic violence and having to go to the home to de-escalate the situation instead of a police officer however I do think it would be really important to have a police officer and a social worker. The police officer can protect social worker because you never know what environment you’re walking into so I wouldn’t say increase or decrease for either or I would say more funding for both of them equally .
