More government funding needs to go into support programs that will increase the indigenous chances for improving life and ensuring that they have the same opportunities and the rights to access them as everyone else. One of the biggest mistakes that John A. MacDonald made was to head a government that did not provide the proper representation of what was at the time the largest portion of the population, and it's way past time we considered them more. They still make up a large portion of this country's population.
