This is just another example of the federal government overstepping their bounds and trying to take control where they shouldn’t. Homelessness is a serious issue, but it’s up to the provinces and municipalities to figure out the best way to handle it, not Ottawa. By bypassing the provinces, the feds are setting a dangerous precedent of undermining local governance. If they really wanted to help, they’d work with the provinces instead of playing politics. This top-down approach rarely leads to sustainable solutions.
