This situation is just another example of how imperialist states like India will resort to violence and repression to maintain control over marginalized groups fighting for self-determination. Canada’s outrage feels hypocritical too, considering their own history of suppressing Indigenous movements. It’s clear neither state is really interested in justice or the rights of oppressed peoples.
