In addition to forced pregnancy being a clear intrusion on a woman's human rights, the economic detriments of forcing women to raise unwanted children are clearly evident. Pulling women out of the work force and stunting their careers due to forced pregnancy will likely decrease their potential economic output and potentially increase the burden on provincial and federal welfare systems. Without exorbitant amounts of capital being pumped into specific funds to support women who undergo forced pregnancy as well as their existing dependents.
