Some people have the belief lower wage jobs are simply "for experience" or only for students, neither of which is true

There are a lot of minimum wage jobs we see in our every day lives, with every grocery store we go to, every cinema, every mall, gas station, and take-out place. And they are essential, which has been proven through the pandemic. Many people of all ages and statuses work those jobs, and having the belief they shouldn't be paid enough to live off of is asinine. Everyone deserves to be paid a wage that will let them live without having to choose between eating or paying rent, and it should be raised to match inflation.
