It does not bother or affect me when others speak in their native language
@9P8NRFMNew Democratic 10mos10MO
I am not bothered by people speaking languages that I do not know, if anything I am more intrigued by them and wouldn't mind learning more about the language & culture.
@9J4RQXPConservative1yr1Y
I quite enjoy listening to other languages, they sound prettier then english, and flow better. I don't know why I feel this way.
@9J2FWYZ1yr1Y
fine, I feel like I have more of a learning potential
I feel unbothered to hear other individuals in society communicate in a language I do not understand. Mainly because it is not my business, and I also have a minority language that I use to communicate with people from my culture.
@9HZ5KV31yr1Y
I feel that it is totally fine and they should be able to do everything that I am able to do whether they speak the same language as me or not.
I feel happy because citizens get to communicate with others in their preferred language rather than just speaking in English with others.
@9QBVJGC9mos9MO
I don't really care... canada is built on immigration so it is expected, though acents can be confusing
@9J7MFXG1yr1Y
i don't feel anything really I notice it but I don't usually think about it
@9J78ZDF1yr1Y
its interesting to see how other people communicate with eachother.
@9J33NQB1yr1Y
I do not care because I speak a minority language.
@9J33C4F1yr1Y
Privately fine, but during a group convo is a bit rude.
@9LMD3D812mos12MO
everyone is entitled to bilingualism and the right to talk in any fashion
@9LM852Y12mos12MO
I feel that way because those people speaking that language could be making fun of me
@9K4W63W1yr1Y
I honestly don't care too much about what people speak, if i can speak what language i want then they can too.
I feel akward since I am in a English speaking country and they are not speaking the language they should be speaking here.
@9JWL5R4Rhinoceros1yr1Y
i dont feel any different. just use a translator and let them be.
don’t mind unless they’re loud and annoying but that goes for anyone
@9LMFH58Conservative12mos12MO
Sounds cool, I respect they speak their language. 😎
Minority rights should not exist. Equality not equity
@9K5ZCZC1yr1Y
i think that a rich culture is needed, so i approve
@9JZ344Y1yr1Y
frankly I do not have an opinion, if it's their native language than I don't think I get to have an opinion.
@9JZ2Z5N1yr1Y
I don’t mind. Everyone has unique things about them.
Linguistics is extremely important to everyone it doesn't matter where you're from or which language you speak; we're all just humans trying to communicate with one another and I think it's beautiful as well as important.
@9JWKZHH1yr1Y
Jealous I can only speak one language. I enjoy hearing and seeing other people express their culture, as long as it doesn't put others down
@9JWKTBH1yr1Y
I feel nice because it shows that we have freedom to speak in other languages.
as long as they aren’t annoying there is not problem w it
@9JV4T9Q1yr1Y
Does not bother me, as long as they are here in Canada legally.
@9JZ63NB1yr1Y
I really do not care because it dose no effect me at all.
@9JZ5BLK1yr1Y
i feel nothing because i shouldnt feel anything if i dont understand a language, unless its about something important to me or me myself
@9JX29V3 1yr1Y
I feel happy knowing that a person can speak their own language freely.
@9JWYKLB1yr1Y
I don't really think anything. If I went into another country where I was speaking a language most people didn't know it would be the same thing.
I think it's really cool to think that Canada has so many cultures in it. And when people speak their own language, their expressing their selves.
@9JVLFLG1yr1Y
i dont really care i just try to understand them as best as i can
@9J9PHBQ1yr1Y
I don’t mind it at all. I love to hear the differences of languages and hear the diversity of culture in Canada. Our multiculturalism makes us Canada. If it is not a conversation I am in what do I care what language they speak. If they wish to speak to me then they must use English but using another language in public is a separate issue from English competency.
@9J4BYWSNew Democratic 1yr1Y
I don’t really feel anything, it’s none of my business what other people are talking about. I wouldn’t care if I could understand them either.
@9K4JGY31yr1Y
I like diversity. It is good to have a country filled with culture and language.
@9JW4XH91yr1Y
I believe that people who cannot speak our language should not be allowed to take our jobs, why should someone who cannot understand our language or speak it work in a place of work where it is necessary to understand in order for customer service, when i am buying produce or parts for my car I should be able to understand the person who is selling to me.
@9J2W6M61yr1Y
I feel very curious and I want to listen more to these languages. I feel that way because as a human, we are responsible to understand and appreciate differences. It is inevitable.
@9K2RCKY1yr1Y
Happy to have diversity in the country, don’t mind hearing other languages.
@9JXQ6Y7 1yr1Y
I am fascinated by foreign languages and always want to know more. I think all cultures and backgrounds are interesting and deserve respect.
@9JWLJ3YConservative1yr1Y
i feel fine with hearing other languages and helps with diversity.
@9JWG8GX1yr1Y
It is none of my business when people are talking amongst each other in their own language. Although I do believe in the workplace English should be a requirement considering the first language is English.
@9JVWBMFConservative1yr1Y
i don't mind hearing languages i don't understand i like hearing new languages i haven't heard before.
I think it is important to learn official languages in Canada such as English and French to make communication easier but I have no bias towards someone who can't, but I would encourage learning
@9JVLC3F1yr1Y
I don't feel left alone knowing there's another person who can speak another language
@9J7RKCT1yr1Y
It doesn’t bother me that much but I do think that learning English is important so that minority groups don’t feel more isolated.
@9JXB4T41yr1Y
I respect, people deserve to speak the way they want.
@9JWL5WH1yr1Y
I am curious on what language it is. I am interested in languages.
@9JVLPW71yr1Y
I have no particular reaction to other languages and don't really care.
I like to guess what Language they are speaking and what they could be saying, its fun.
I feel unheard and left out, I feel that way because they are communicating in a way i cannot understand
@9JVLMJB1yr1Y
I think other langueges are fine, but we are first a nation of English and French, and these should be manditory for work
@9JVLGJH1yr1Y
i become a little confused because i wonder what they're saying
@9JWGGJ31yr1Y
I enjoy hearing languages I don't understand. It's extremely satisfying to know that people are proud and comfortable of their culture and language.
