I feel unbothered to hear other individuals in society communicate in a language I do not understand. Mainly because it is not my business, and I also have a minority language that I use to communicate with people from my culture.

 @9QSG5G6Liberalfrom Alberta  answered…9mos9MO

I feel happy because citizens get to communicate with others in their preferred language rather than just speaking in English with others.

 @9QRCB8SLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

When I hear another language I don't understand, my first reaction is what language this person is speaking. I think I feel this way because I'm a curious person.

 @9QQK6KFLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

I feel intrigued to know what is being talked about. I think I feel that way because I'm naturally interested in languages, and I'm also a very curious person.

 @9PRW8PFLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…9mos9MO

I feel indifferent. Unless it is for work or something important, I am fine with it.

 @9LMZ8JPLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…12mos12MO

It's fine, but we should be able to communicate with each other via a common language (English)

When I hear a different language that I don't understand, in a way I do feel a nit left out especially if they can all speak English but I do understand and sympathize with speaking your home countries language should be a right of their own. This was an outdated view since I go to a school where all different languages are spoken so it's normal to me now

 @9JXSTW7Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I feel weird that they are talking about something that I don't understand, and I start thinking how can they understand that I don't.

 @9JXPTTBLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

I feel akward since I am in a English speaking country and they are not speaking the language they should be speaking here.

 @9J76J5PLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

When i hear people talking in a different language i dont think of them at all because its none of my business and everyone lives their own lives and i dont have to have an opinion in what they do and say as long as they leave me alone and let me live.

 @9J5NYF3 from Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I find myself interested in the language but sad i cannot communicate in it. I love languages.

Canada is a place for Canadians what makes us unique is not how many countries have the cultural districts and restaurants in our country but our unique history and culture which no other country has. And as well as unique people which as well can only be found in large numbers and as a majority in Canada. If Canadians are not the majority there will be no such things as Canadians or Canada.

 @9K6C82DLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Its fine, I feel okay because I don't care about they speak different language. I can use gestures to try understand it

 @9K5WZFMfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

i dont feel nothing, how would i be offended by other people speaking a different language because its normal

I am indifferent because I mind my own business. If someone speaks to me and wants me to understand then I am confident they will engage with me in English or French.

***** i don't give a **** its a country where people move in at will i don't give a **** .

I feel very confused when I hear languages I don’t understand. The reason why I feel this way is because I am not familiar with it.

 @9K645J6from British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

there should be no problem at all people cant control that and people cant have a say over this

 @9K5TPYYLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I feel fine because its thier language and I have no problem with it as long as it is good.

 @9K5RXGHLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I don’t care if people speak another language, it really doesn’t matter if someone can’t or is not comfortable speaking are national languages

 @9K4H6WCfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I don't really feel anything when I hear a different language that I don't speak being spoken. It's kind of cool hearing how other people communicate. I once didn't know any English and only spoke Spanish so I know what it feels like not speaking English and knowing others are judging me. I know Spanish can sound odd to others sometimes especially with all the accents it comes with but it doesn't bother me whatsoever Canada is a country of multicultural people and it strives from it's diversity.

 @9K4D59GLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I feel nothing as its completely normal, Canada is incredibly multicultural and I think we should support taht

 @9K3B9ZLLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I feel weird but I know it’s apart of culture and it’s probably because I grew up only knowing English

 @9JZX3ZFLiberalfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

I don’t think much of it, it’s just harder to communicate with someone and connect with them. However i’m not bothered at all

 @9JZ8DZ4from British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

It doesn't bother me to hear other languages. It's been apart of my entire 43 years on this planet. I grew up in a small diverse town in Northern British Columbia, Kitimat, and many immigrants from all over lived there. I took French from grades 1-9 and even Spanish in highschool.

 @9JYWYHHLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

 @9JX5T9TLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I feel normal because I am an immigrant myself. Therefore it does not make me feel uncomfortable.

 @9JWL386Liberalfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

I think it's really cool to think that Canada has so many cultures in it. And when people speak their own language, their expressing their selves.

 @9LMGJ96Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…12mos12MO

I believe a person has a right to speak their own language but they should learn to speak English if they want to live in Canada

 @9K3K8KGLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I feel happy to hear diversity and I think we should be proud of having other worldviews to learn from

I am not too bothered by hearing languages i dont understand. I understand they are speaking their native language and its non of my business.

 @9JVW65VLiberalfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

I think it is important to learn official languages in Canada such as English and French to make communication easier but I have no bias towards someone who can't, but I would encourage learning

 @9JVLC3Ffrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

I don't feel left alone knowing there's another person who can speak another language

 @9K6685LLiberalfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y

I am friends with many french people birng a non-french speaker myself so I'am ok with it.

 @9JWQHW6Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

I quite enjoy listening to other languages, they sound prettier than english, and flow better. I don't know why I feel this way.

 @9JWKXNDfrom British Columbia  answered…1yr1Y
