Yes, but only if the waste is disposed of safely

I also think more work should be done to find a way to reuse nuclear waste, or at least make it less dangerous. Nuclear energy is an OK alternative to fossil fuels, but it would make sense in the long run to transition over to other sources such as hydro, and wind power.
