as long as it was not a felony, violent, financial, or sexual crime and as long as the crime was not committed while in office and as long as they have finished serving their sentence and and disallow politicians that are under investigation for a crime under the same circumstances as anyone else under the law they should not lose their seat in office but should have an acting person put in their place for the duration of their trial.

Trump agrees to debate Kamala Harris on Fox News

Former President Trump announced Friday night that he has agreed to Fox News' proposal for a debate against Vice President Kamala Harris.Trump said the debate would be held on Sept. 4 in Pennsylvania, although the location of the event has not yet been determined.The former president also noted that an ABC News debate previously scheduled against President Biden before he suspended his re-election campaign had been canceled, citing his lawsuit against that network and one of its hosts, George Stephanopoulos."I have agreed with FoxNews to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4th," Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. "The Debate was previously scheduled against Sleepy Joe Biden on ABC, but has been terminated in that Biden will no longer be a participant, and I am in litigation against ABC Network and George Slopadopoulos, thereby creating a conflict of interest."A campaign official for Vice President Kamala Harris accused Donald J. Trump on Saturday of scheming up a Sept. 4 debate on Fox News to avoid a debate scheduled for six days later on ABC News that Trump had committed to before President Biden dropped out of the race. “We’re happy to discuss further debates after the one both campaigns have already agreed to,” Michael Tyler, the Harris campaign’s communications director, said. “Mr. Anytime, anywhere, anyplace should have no problem with that unless he’s too scared to show up on the 10th.”
