Should a politician, who has been formerly convicted of a crime, be allowed to run for office?

depends on crime and age, murder, sexual assult, and abuse of any kind should not be allowed in candidates records, If the crime is a petty crime 10+ years old or they did it as a child and clearly do not stand for it anymore it should be okay for them to run
