No, but accommodations can be made so then they are still able to afford an education.

 @9KC6XPWfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

No but neither should they be fleeced. They should be charged a bit more than local students and eligible for scholarships.

 @9H6GJSNfrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

It shouldn't be free, but institutions should not force these students to pay 2-4 times than what a domestic student would pay.

 @9FNQCN7from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

No, Why treat low income international students better than low income Canadian Students

 @B45BC94from Alberta  answered…4wks4W

No, there are many Canadian citizens who can't afford school. If there are funds left after all Canadian students who want to attend are, then we can look at helping interantional students.

 @B3YW962from Alberta  answered…1mo1MO

No, and they should be deported because there’s no reason international students should be in Canada if they can’t financially support themselves.

 @B2TWT9HConservativefrom Alberta  answered…2mos2MO

No, because it was their choice to come and study as an international student. It would not be fair for other international students as well national students.

 @9F5KMPVfrom Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Everyone should have access to a free education and job training regardless of if they were born in Canada.

 @9C7D8F9from Alberta  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes but only if they move here to say be a doctor or something in heath care otherwise no one should get free post secondary

 @8VTS2BWfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, if they require education they should pay the same as a Canadian citizen

 @8VTGXS3from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Only if the same is offered to Canadian citizens and if the foreign student is required to work and use the education they were provided before returning to their home country

 @8VS8X53from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No. For every foreign student there should be a decrease on our Canadian students tuition. Ensure there is more allocated space for our Canadian students as a priority over foreign students.

 @8VRZVG9from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

no but the fee should be lowered for all low income canadians immigrants or not.

 @8VRZVG9from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

no but it the fee should be lowered for all low income canadians immigrants or not.

 @8VNRPTFfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Absolutely not! Why would they get it for free, but my children would still have to pay? Ridiculous

 @8VLK8XCfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but depending on their financial situation. And/or that the get employment after graduating.

 @8VL37XSfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, cost of tuition and cost of living should be increased for non-citizens

The “children of international students” should, yes. International students should not. Question worded incorrectly?

 @8VJGYT3from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, for young students, and in situations where the student has lost both parents, and can repay the free education at a discount once they complete their studies and are allowed to work.

 @8VJGX54from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No one should be provided with a 'free' education. No one is entitled to slave labor.

 @8VJFQJNfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes just because they are international students doesn’t mean they are any different from a citizen

 @8VJFBM5Conservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VJBZ2Lfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Give to every student the same, if education is free make it free to all.

 @8VJBD29Libertarianfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

For post secondary. If someone is posting tax in Canada, they should be able to attend school free of charge

 @8VJ6J92Conservativefrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

If they can prove that they know a very large amount of the history between countries that they will be going to, I see no issue to this. They already proved themselves, let’s see if they’re serious.

 @8VHZJ2Gfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, for refugee or special circumstances, not wealthy international families.

 @8VHWNG5from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I think it should depend on household income, as it should for everyone. I do think that students needing extra tutoring or language classes should be at least provided those services for free.

I believe they should have access to free education up until post secondary. Without scholarships I believe they should still have to pay for post-secondary education, however, maybe they should implement better plans so they can gradually pay it back.

Not a free education, but if they need financial help they should receive it. Must fill out a form/survey in order to gain this financial help from the government.

Should be provided with education but instead of free, the fee should be reduced by 50%

 @8VKXTJKNew Democraticfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

they should have less restrictions and a little more way to help pay off loans because it could be a case where they were escaping poverty to begin with

 @8VJD7WTfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

I don’t think it should be free, but tuition does international students should be the same as tuition for domestic students
