This question should define "foreigners" are they not citizens or permanent residents? If they don't live in canada for x number of months throughout the year they should not be allowed to purchase real-estate.

All people in canada should not be able to purchase a home if they already own another property and do not intend to sell

Foreigners should be able to buy a home but there should also be a cap on how much they can invest in rental real estate as well until they become citizens

People shouldn't be banned from buying a house in Canada for 2 years just cause they come from a different country.

No, but the home must be the primary residence and comply with immigration laws.

I feel like it really depends. As you don't want rich foreigners buying all the houses as a way to preserve their money and sell it later. But you don't want foreigners who are trying to move here to be homeless for two years unless this doesn't apply to apartments and such.

They should be allowed to purchase homes if there are paying taxes to the federal government

 @922WVXDfrom Manitoba  answered…3yrs3Y

They shouldn't be banned for that long considering sometimes foreigners buy homes or warehouses to most likely store illegal substances or are a actual person looking for home inside of Canada.

 @8ZSFB97from Manitoba  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, If they have a steady job and are working to be part of the community.

If they are immigrating into our country, no they should not be banned from buying a home. If they have no intentions of staying here for school or work, then yes.

If it’s a foreign company/foreign group, solely to stop home prices going up more and more.

 @8VL3N5Hfrom Manitoba  answered…4yrs4Y

Foreigners purchasing homes in Canada is only a small portion of the issue. All houses that are being purchased for investment purposes rather than to live in should be limited not just foreign buyers.

People who do not live in Canada should not be allowed to buy homes they do not intend to live in themselves

 @9BC4ZR4from Manitoba  answered…2yrs2Y

If they are actively going for permanent residency, if they want to live here, buy a house

 @96QS893from Manitoba  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only if they have no plan to live in the building they’re buying
