Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has vowed to place a two-year ban on foreign homebuyers if re-elected, in a bid to address housing affordability in Canada. The nation's housing market has soared during the coronavirus pandemic, up 16 percent year-over-year, according to the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). The Liberal Party is one of three major parties focused on this central issue.

If you are legal in the country then no but if you are illegal then yes
No, but the home must be the primary residence and comply with immigration laws.

Only if their home country also band foreign ownership
Foreigners should be completely banned from buying real estate, houses and land.
Yes, but permanently, not just two years.
If they are a legal citizen they should be able to do whatever they want. If they are a permanent residence for less, then no.
I feel like it really depends. As you don't want rich foreigners buying all the houses as a way to preserve their money and sell it later. But you don't want foreigners who are trying to move here to be homeless for two years unless this doesn't apply to apartments and such.
They should be completely banned from doing so.

If they are part of a foreign company working for another country, they should be slowed down in order to prevent illegal activities for tax havens and such.
it all depends on the situation they are in
What? that makes no sense.
No foreigners in Canada period!
It should never happen agen
Depends on their income.
No, but they should be taxed more.
As long as they pay a tax
No of course not they are apart of Canada now we don’t want them to become poor because the government is not capable to notice that they are apart of Canada now.
No. Non- resident non-citizens should be barred from owning real estate in Canada.
Foreigners should be banned from buying homes in Canada for at least 5 or 6 months at most.
Depends if they are living as Canadian residents or not and only if they have renounced their other citezenship.
