If Foreigners have primary status and don’t own multiple homes for the rent economy but actually live in their communities then they should be allowed to buy a home as any Canadian citizen can.

Foreigners who plan to move into the country should not be banned, rather, foreigners who are using the Real Estate market with the goal of making a profit should not be allowed to purchase homes. (Ideally we would stop land ownership as a whole)

Given the situation that the population of Canada and the land of Canada, I think it’s still good for people buy land. Unless it is crowded then it’s a different story.

No, but international retail companies or their subsidiaries should be banned from buying homes.

I feel like it really depends. As you don't want rich foreigners buying all the houses as a way to preserve their money and sell it later. But you don't want foreigners who are trying to move here to be homeless for two years unless this doesn't apply to apartments and such.

Only if it is NOT their primary residence, because then they obviously see it as an investment.

No, as long as they have intent to move into the house, if not then out of market buyers should be banned from purchasing and holding houses.

Yes, and foreigners living outside of Canada should never be allowed to buy houses in Canada.

 @8VL9JPTfrom Newfoundland  answered…4yrs4Y

only if they are buying them to rent and turn a profit, if it is just to live here then that is excellent.

 @8VL5FXHfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Only if the foreigner is purchasing the home for resale or rental and not to live in

 @8VL3N5Hfrom Manitoba  answered…4yrs4Y

Foreigners purchasing homes in Canada is only a small portion of the issue. All houses that are being purchased for investment purposes rather than to live in should be limited not just foreign buyers.

I feel there should be enough housing to have Canadians and foreigners have a chance.
