Yes, we are in a housing crisis caused by shortages right now, the government should help subsidize the building of the homes with private companies, in return the companies should reduce the price of homes once they hit the market so young Canadians are able to afford.

So long as the homes are not 300k+ and are more avaliable for lower incomes, but keep up the safety and infastucture for all in the area so violant crimes dont happen.

Only if it’s publicly regulated social housing with a mix of homes for purchase & rental; with cap on purchase price & who can buy based on income; as well as a significant of proportion of low-cost rental housing with caps on rent increases
