Should a politician, who has been formerly convicted of a crime, be allowed to run for office?

Yes, as people have the capacity to transform and change for the better

However I think that any politician who has been formerly convicted of a crime should be required to fully disclose to the public and ensure that their crimes do not fall under the felony bracket like money laundering or sex trafficking etc.
