Should every 18 year old citizen be required to provide at least one year of military service?

As a Swiss citizen I support the idea of militia military which requires adult citizens to serve in the military

I believe that it would be a good idea to have a similar system so long as those who have not volunteered are only used as reserves and not sent on missions outside of the country.
