Should immigrants be deported if they commit a serious crime?

again poorly worded question

Has the "immigrant" already acquired Canadian citizenship? if so send person to jail/court just like any other citizen, if person is in the country illegally and commits a crime they should definitely be deported just like any other person that failed their application for permanent resident status.
