No, children need time to decided whether or not they truely believe themself to be the opposite gender of their original sex

 @9WYDMSDfrom British Columbia  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, 14-15 should be the minimum age with informed consent, we should try to get parents involved as having family support is ideal but many families are abusive. this is how it should be for hormones and puberty blockers, surgery should be advised to not be done until the body has stopped developing and when that person has been on hormones and stuff for some period of time. the age for surgery should be at least 18 with some access to someone 17 if its deemed necessary by several levels of authority and the person is shown to fully understand their choice if it is deemed necessary to prevent suicide.

 @9G67KN6from British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, with parental permission, at least thought about it for a year or 2 and non-surgical treatments

 @9WBRK8Dfrom British Columbia  answered…6mos6MO

No, with the exception of intersex(xxxy, xxy,xyy,etc) individuals who are making the choice to enhance gender

 @9W93D5Kfrom British Columbia  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, Non-surgical treatments should be able to be authorized at the age of 12. Minors should be eligible for surgical treatments either when 2 years of transitioning occurred or when the minor reaches 16.

 @9TXBP2YIndependentfrom British Columbia  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, only non surgical, unless medically required. Surgical options should require parental involvement and consent under 16.

Yes, and the minor must pass any regularly required assessments for hormones, surgery, or other treatments. Hormone blockers should be more widely accessible to questioning youth. This was written by a trans & non-binary person 💕

 @9TVNGZDfrom British Columbia  answered…7mos7MO

No, and ban all gender transitioning treatments

Wtf is wrong with people these days if you say yes to any of this **** you are severely sick in the head

 @94VP9NSfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only if they are at least 16 years old, and MUST be their own choice, not that of a elder/parent'(s).

 @8ZVRXTZfrom British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

No, only because the human body and brain are not full developed to make those decisions

 @8T9NTX4from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only if they are 16 years of age, and those under the age of 16 should be required to have parental permission

 @B45T6JKfrom British Columbia  answered…4wks4W

Yes, but 10 years old or older because it could probably be really dangerous for someone that young to have a surgery

 @B2VKDW5from British Columbia  answered…2mos2MO

Yes, but they have to be at least 14 and completely sure and clear minded of what they're about to do

 @B3Q3T7XGreenfrom British Columbia  answered…1mo1MO

yes, for puberty blockers with young trans kids, at 16 kids should be allowed to start hormones (within certain guidelines) and at 18 they should be able to receive gender affirming surgeries.

 @9PS5L9Yfrom British Columbia  answered…10mos10MO

Defer to the scientists and medical professionals. This is not a political issue, it is a medical/scientific one. More information is needed.

 @8V4VMLCfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but once they are at least 18 years old and given important information related to receiving gender transition treatment to further help them with their choices.

 @B3XFV8Qfrom British Columbia  answered…1mo1MO

No, children should not be allowed to make irreversible life decisions

Yes at the age of 16 with parental consent, a trial time line to see consistency in their choice and should be allowed puberty/hormone blockers before said age if they determine they may be trans at a young age. We should also increase education based on sex education and lgbtq+ identities

Yes, but with a strong support system in place ie education of the treatments.

 @8V5NGFWfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only after ruling out other causes of gender dysphoria through therapy etc and ensuring the child understands all medical risks

 @9CB795Sfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only if a mental health professional has deemed it to be an increase to the person's quality of life

 @9BF3RHYNew Democraticfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only non-surgical treatments with parental permission while also being at least 16 years old

 @98T57V8from British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

 @8T8XK5Qfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only after puberty has begun for that individual, as prior to this occurring I don't believe that gender has a particularly major role in a child's life.

 @99B9Y7Xfrom British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

 @8TKX5JGfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

No, children should not be allowed to make irreversible life decisions. There should also be Psychological testing before transitioning.

  @8TXVXMLfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

No, surgery, hormones or puberty blocker. If you let your kid boy wear a dress or something and identify, fine. All have a right to mature naturally.

 @8V2SJB5from British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Children should be funded to go through a series of therapy making sure that this transition is right for them, and to see if maybe there is something else going on prior to making a huge life choice.

I am not saying go through a series of things that is meant to change their mind, but a communicative age space so they can do healing from child hood trauma if they have any then go from there.

 @9ZK3JNSfrom British Columbia  answered…5mos5MO

Yes, but only if they are at least 14 for hormone treatments and no surgery until 18, 17 if deemed a medical emergency or mental health necessity.
