Should there be more restrictions on the current process of purchasing a gun?

We simply don't need handguns or assault rifles. Only allow shotguns and hunting rifles for hunting.

Banning these various firearms do nothing to prevent crime, as legal owners of these guns have regular background checks, training, licensing already in place and are not being used in gun crimes.
