Street patrol police should not but if there are lives in danger they should use what ever equipment can help the people at risk which in some cases means using military grade equipment

There are many cases where so-called "military grade" equipment may be neseccary, but we can reduce the need for any police by allowing the people to bear arms.

Yes, with more strict training on when to use them. And the citizenry who are law abiding should be allowed to concealed carry and use their firearms to protect themselves with less strict consequences against self defence that can't be proven as strongly. Innocent unless proven guilty. Public owned body cams should be allowed anywhere and everywhere and police body cams must be mandatory.

 @8THYJHNConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only in response to extreme situations and training to ensure the equipment is used carefully and correctly.

 @8DB9N4Z from Maine  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but with strict training on how and when to use the equipment and in response to extreme situations

 @8RS88C2 from Tennessee  answered…4yrs4Y

Police are civilians and should have the same access to equipment as the general public.

 @5G638ZVanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but civilians should have access to the same equipment as law enforcement.

 @IINXMP from Pennsylvania  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, as long as the same weapons are accessible to the American people as well, and that police are properly trained and regulated.

 @8VPTNF4 from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

Depends on the department and the size of the city. But mostly I'd say yes

 @8XH4JKP from Missouri  answered…3yrs3Y

Military equipment should only be used if necessary. If the time comes that military equipment is needed to be used the police need proper training and know when and when not to use such weapons.
