Critical race theory is the claim that American institutions, laws, and history are inherently racist. It argues that white people have put up social, economic, and legal barriers between the races in order to maintain their elite status, both economically and politically and that the source of poverty and criminal behavior in minority communities is due exclusively to these barriers.

The Frankfurt School's Critical Theories do a great deal to avoid "class analysis" of race (and other) issues, while centering race itself. It's unscientific and it's used to weaken class warfare. It's used to divide the proletariat.
@3NLTQF74yrs4Y
No, not as currently practiced; CRT needs to be reformed to respect honest analysis over narrative.
@4MYTQMW3yrs3Y
Yes, but CRT needs to be legally defined and limited to historical contexts
@8QNDV534yrs4Y
Yes, we cannot end racism until we acknowledge that our institutions, laws, and history are inherently racist, but we should start to introduce this after they have reached adulthood and gained the ability of critical thinking.

They can be, but we avoid incendiary language and speak accurately about what CRT is when doing so. For example, this website uses an incorrect definition of Critical Race Theory.

No. Color blindness isn't a thing. We should be teaching equality and backing it up with our actions by breaking down the barriers that have been erected. We should teach how "white" isn't an actual race and how it came to be and why.

Yes, as a short section of study and discourse, but not as a systemic, all encompassing curriculum.

Yes, as a short section of study and discourse, but not as a systemic, all encompassing curriculum; and, not K-6, only grades 7-12.

I am very mixed on this issue. Blaming all white people for these issues is not the answer. I feel as if it would cause more of a divide.

Class time should be better used for other important educations such as mechanics, life skills, and financial responsibilities.
@6T6Y4L24yrs4Y
No, no one should be taught that they are inherently racist due to their skin color
@8FJK7XV4yrs4Y
We should provide the facts and statistics to show kids what is actually true, and not tell them to believe a certain way.
@8FPZ87M3yrs3Y
CRT has never been taught in k-12 it is a college level concept. Accurate history should be taught to k-12 kids including the darkest parts and lgbtq history
