Depends how funding is being allocated, I believe that police departments should get funding but we don't need to allocate this into militarizing them.

Not enough social programs where in place to prevent crime, so we need the police. What we should do, it's not use the police for things they are not able to handle due to lack of training. Police should be used unless it may become violent.

Both police and community based programs are important. One should not lose funding to support the other.
@95QFGNN3yrs3Y
split between police training that is practical and social and community based programming

Yes, I believe that we should reduce 20% of the police force's budget and redirect it to helping young people before they become criminals.
@939RP2D3yrs3Y
We should never disarm our police, instead allow the police to be more involved in social programs and educate the community so individuals understand police are no different then our EMS, Fire Fighters, Teachers, Doctors and Nurses.
No. The police require the funding they have. We need to integrate social and community based programs and increase their funding and perhaps also funding to the police to integrate them.
@8VSMKMT4yrs4Y
Their funding should be decreased and that money can go towards communitysocial improvements.

@8THYZ364yrs4Y
I personally have no stance on this.
@8T7FTMS4yrs4Y
Yes and No, make sure that police are not racist or have bad feelings towards immigrants, BIPOC, or LGBTQIA+. But also increase funding for community based program.
@8T42L8D4yrs4Y
yes but it also depends on the situation and the risks of crime rates in the community
Funding for police should only go to extra training, bonuses should never be based on arrests
@8R4BV9N4yrs4Y
Only if they are able to support departments without it
@996GHR22yrs2Y
I believe that we need to provide proper training for our police in order to better aide them in doing their jobs properly
@8R5CKF34yrs4Y
Yes, unless they need it
@8R32NKW4yrs4Y
Yes, as long as the departments are able to run and are supported without the funding
