Yes, but only slightly and money should be directed to social programs to help with mental health, drug use and outreach.

I think decrease the funding and put it towards social and community programs, but do not completely get rid of funding towards police.

I think funding for local police departments can funnel some of it into properly educating and training their officers on things such as crisis intervention, or dealing with a high stress situation involving an individual with mental health issues.

Keep funding for police, but redirect a portion of the money to other services

There should be a heavier emphasis on addressing the socio-economic determinants of crime, but police departments still need the necessary resources to meet their duties

Keep police but add more programs for mental health support to help people before they resort to crime

 @8VTP6BTfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but funding from other areas may be redirected for these programs, police are still essential

 @8VRZY3Vfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Police need more comprehensive training AND we need more money for social programs.

 @8VQCQFCfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Educate the police on ways to properly do their job and make sure they pass a test on how to not discriminate

 @8VCCKRHLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Some, but not all. Community programs are helpful but the police do have a place in society

 @8TWXBFCfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Increase funding so we can, Replace some police with unarmed responders, Training for higher risk situations and deploy accordingly. Have more training with mental health, and give time for officers to care for their own mental health.

 @8RVNZ8Cfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, and police should be retrained to prevent police brutality towards people of colour.

No, continue to fund the police but reestablish their training methods and their protocols and regulations while also funding other alternatives than just the police.
