higher skilled and better trained police officers with a majour culture change in poliicing is important to a sustabiale and stable commuities

No but more funding needs to be provided for social and community programs. Also, policing needs to change to allow for community based responders to deal with non-violent calls. There should be a partnership with the 2.

Slower transition to community support so crime is reduced. As crime rates are lowered, then replace policing with more enriching community well being programs.

I'm in the middle on this one because community programs are good but also having a good police force is good as well.

Funding should be determined by crime rates, less in lower rates and more in higher rates.

No, but ensure police are given strict annual evaluations, both physically and mentally, to determine if they should be allowed continue functioning in their assigned departments

 @8VS8TWJfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Funding for the police should go towards better training and screening of trained officers to ensure people are not being trained to be police officers with a grudge or bias against any group(s) regardless of culture, race, gender, etc, prior to allowing them to enter the law enforcement industry and put peoples safety at risk.

Yes, send community based responder unarmed alongside police backup for emergencies

 @8VJ4WN6from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Increase funding for social and community based programs that work with and support local police departments

 @8VDG5VNfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Keep funding the same, enforce training and mandatory evaluations on officers every year or so.

 @8R8SGB6from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Not redirected entirely, but reasonably balanced/shared to ensure both effective law enforcement & social/community based programs.

Funding should be reduced and police should not be responsible for everything. However, there are still several incidents where police presence are required.
