id rather fund both

Me too, but as conservatives I think we have to recognize the dangerous amounts of government spending. Name aspects that we should defund to get more funding into these areas, that's the key issue here.

Both social parties and police need to work together in partnership to best influence as both have separate skill sets with small amounts of overlap.

More community based programs, but we also need a over haul of the entire policing system. Weed out the bad ones and retraining

No, but police hiring and screening standards should be raised so that officers are effective but mindful of peoples needs and only use force as a very last resort

Yes, community program is important but not completely defund the polish

 @8VRLFZVfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but increase funding reabilitation facilitates, mental health centers etc

 @8VHVM9Xfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Provide more training for police to allow for proper assessment of situations and handling of conflicts

A combined approach. Fund the police and increase training for police departments in higher crime rate communities AS WELL AS employ and utilize unarmed community based responders for non-violent calls. Have them work hand in hand

Yes but the larger portion of the funding to still go to the police department. Restructure how it’s divided.

I detailed breakdown of where the funding is currently and where it could be placed if moved.
