We need to fund both police and social programs. Hopefully, more action on social issues will eventually reduce the need for police.

Adjust training values, adjust punishments, and check out any flaws in the system every 1-2 years.

Some funding should be redirected to partnering with mental health professionals and addiction specialists. We expect too much from police officers

 @8VFMMBKfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Funds shouldn't be redirected there should just be separate funding for these programs

I think the police should be re trained on how to deal with different races . Use the money to educate them better

Yes there should be more funding to Social and Community based programs, while we retrain our police to be more aware, sensitive and educated on various disabilities, mental conditions and addictions.

No, but increase length of study at police academies and increase training

 @8QS3Z3Bfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but not completely. Police have their own place and social workers have theirs.

 @8Q4TKHSfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, we shouldn't abolish police completely but there should be funding for more social programs

Provide additional training for officers to promote the use of community policing, then police Would be a social and community based service
