Police should have better training and they should learn how to handle situations with as little violence possible maybe even without weapons (depends on the circumstance).

If a police does something wrong, such as murder (unless needed to save their life) or theft, they should be put in jail. If murder because of taking advantage of their power and a person, should get life in jail or atleast 20-50 years with no bail option.

How can this be a yes or no questions… the money follows regulations and structures, not the other way around

 @8TVWP8Tfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes and replace police with first responders who are highly trained and educated who are unarmed in less crime areas and carry batons in high crime rate areas

 @8TCW4N3from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but each emergency response team should have a registered social worker to deescalate specific situations.

Yes, introduce co-op programs in which mental health professionals work alongside plain clothed police officers.

Pivot funding towards training towards problem-solving training and similar things.

 @8PV52KRfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Funding shouldn't be cut but there should be a lot more social community based programs

 @9BBDR3Xfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Some funding should be redirected to social and community based programs and police should be replaced with mental-health professionals for mental-health related calls, but not all funding.

Both sides of the coin should have enough funding to cover their needs.
