These points should not be at odds. There should be more funding for community/social intervention, however this does not have to come at the expense of policing and there may be more or less funding required for both.

It totally depends on the jurisdiction in question. Allocating funding to social programs matters, it can come from police budgets, but I don’t associate them closely.

Police funding should reflect the demands we put on police. If we ask them to do a lot, they should be funded appropriately. If we reduces the demands on the police then we can reduce their funding.

Policing should remain. But we also need more funding for social and community programs and further training police officers.

Funding for policing should remain same, funding for corporate subsidies and higher taxation should for corporations be implemented. Offshore tax sheltering should be aggressively pursued

No, but increase training programs for police and make it mandatory 4 year program and have stricter repercussions for those who are proven guilty of brutality/abuse of authority

Yes, but proper budgeting for training for officers are necessary, also having other community programs available to assist in areas where police presence will cause agitation and possible harm to those who need assistance
