While I believe in supporting police departments for public safety, there is also a need to invest in social programs like mental health services, education, and community outreach, which can help address root causes of crime.

Funding should be prioritzed. Police are necessary, but there are ways that police do not have to be funded as armed enforcement. Police should also invuce unarmed community based responders. Basically, we need to reform how policing exists.

I think that there should be more funding for the police department but there should also be more funding for places such as drug awareness centres, womens centres etc.

I feel that having social programs and mental health professionals for those type of calls could also be beneficial but we shouldn't abolish the police

 @8QG3LVNfrom Newfoundland  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, unarmed community responders, trained social workers, alongside police.

 @99RY9Y7from Newfoundland  answered…2yrs2Y

The funding should be spent on reforming the police and better, non-violent training

 @98W9FJCfrom Newfoundland  answered…2yrs2Y

Partially, police officers should also have with them trained officers in psychology OR train all officers in psychology and how to handle situations better

 @98RK2XDfrom Newfoundland  answered…2yrs2Y

 @96T7RPTfrom Newfoundland  answered…2yrs2Y
