Part of it could be for funding local police departments, but some of it could also be used for community based programs.

Yes and disarm the police, they should know what innocent civilians feel like when they have guns pointed at them

Police officers literally risk their lives every single day. Their salary should be much higher and they should also provide more mental health care

It's both, I think we should Increase spending on the training and efficacy of our Police, but also redirecting other funds for Social and Community based programs when the police aren't necessarily needed or trained for certain situations.

 @8VGZFMTPeople’sfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

It should be split appropriately between both. More funding for social and economic programs could mean less crime

 @8VGSF37People’sfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

I think that it would be nice to replace police with unarmed community based responders for non-violent calls, however, I feel as if one of those calls may turn violent at some point in time. I also do support increased funding and training for police departments in higher crime rate communities.

Impose strict misconduct and abuse of power penalties on police along side more indepth training and mentoring programs. Impose restrictions on how police can legally handle non violent situations. They are here to protect the people not enforce

No, increase pay for police and go through extensive training for at least 2 years.

police almost above all else IMPORTANT i believe 70 percent of all cases where police were in the wrong ..if police remembered and strictly realize that they are actually not in any way the boss of us and IMPORTANT just because they speak like stop; wait there' i want to talk to you! or i neeed ur i.d if we the public are not COMMINTING a crime... NOT suspicion in ANY way only in act of comminting a crime or have commited to we HAVE to obey if police didnt have ego we would be safe

 @8SDHNC6from Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8RKRCF7from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y
