If the police can prevent regular stabbings and shootings, then I think they deserve the funding. However, the news suggests otherwise.

No. Police funding should be unchanged, but additional funding should be directed to social and community based programs.

Yes and no there should definitely be more social and community-based programs however police are still needed

Increase the funding for social programs to the level of police funding

 @8TVVNK7from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but add bodycams to all officers and deny them testimony in misconduct complaints if the bodycam footage is unavailable.

More police training, crisis training and psychological checks, also hold police accountable and have bigger consequences for using lethal force unless in extreme high risk cases.

don't import us issues in canadian politics were they have no business being

 @8S73DY8from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

I don't like talking about US issues in Canada, police brutality is rare in Canada

Funding is based on the area. If it is a high crime-rate area, increasing funds and training would be much more useful. If it is a low crime-rate area with a non-violent community, replacing police with responders is much more useful.

both these programs and establishments require the same amount of attention and a fair amount of funding should go to each.
