Yes, redirect money into mental health social programs - also increase mental health training for police

Fund the police for them to be trained to deal with more mental health and social service calls. Also should have social workers that work with police for mental heath and social service calls

Funding for police should remain, further training should be implemented, and increase funds for social and community based programs

Policing needs better training but also on drug calls should have a social worker come out with them

 @969MVS3from British Columbia  answered…3yrs3Y

In high crime areas funding should stay the same for police. In lower crime areas the funding should be redirected away from the police to other programs.

with the ever-increasing crime in the province, we need the police,e or some type of police. However,r they need more training to handle things like a mental health issue,s and they also need to feel their job is not being degraded by judges and crown counsel letting people off with no to extremely light sentences for the crimes they commit

No, increase funding for police in higher crime rate communities. Provide mandatory training for police on how to respond to situations where someone has a mental health problem or developmental disorder.
