A 2017 College Board study estimated that the cost of college has increased 100% since 2001. The St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank estimates that U.S. college tuition debt has increased from $480 billion in 2006 to $1.5 trillion in 2018. Several 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary candidates have argued that the cost of college is out of control and that the government should pay for tuition. Opponents argue that the government cant afford it and point to estimates from the Committee for a Responsible Federal budget that estimate programs would cost the government $80 billion a year.

No, universities and colleges need to stop gouging costs for education. Also, interest rates for student loans are outrageously high.
@5643HNN4yrs4Y
Yes, however tuition costs have gotten out of control and should be greatly reduced overall

Cost of college should be reduced, and increase the amount of opportunities and financial assistance for all students including those who want to pursue a trade.

I feel like if you see that a student has potential and was actually trying in school and didn’t do good be also did fail and can’t pay for any college then yes I feel like they should pay off there years in college.
@7G3G2W34yrs4Y
Yes, but I would make it free even for graduate students
@7G3G2W34yrs4Y
No, instead eliminate all student loan debt, make the tuition much more affordable, lower interest rates and repeal the bankruptcy bill.
@3868DQW4yrs4Y
Yes, state colleges and universities should be free for those who qualify academically and financially and the qualification standards should be reasonable for middle class and lower socioeconomic status Americans.
@7W6YZ564yrs4Y
No, but student loans provided by the government should be interest-free or locked at a reasonable rate like .5%.
@8F5PKLS5yrs5Y
Yes, but only for students in good academic standing.
@8FPLGKD5yrs5Y
No, for-profit colleges and universities will use the increased demand only to raise prices. Instead create a public alternative
@8N9M79Z4yrs4Y
The costs need to be drastically reduced. Student loans for a 4-year degree should not take longer than 4 or 5 years to repay. Financial assistance should be increased for low-income families. Community college should be free.
@8QVKJQM4yrs4Y
No, but we should cancel all student debt and implement strict regulations on tuition costs
