In 2016 the International Olympic committee ruled that transgender athletes can compete in the Olympics without undergoing sex reassignment surgery. In 2018 the International Association of Athletics Federations, track’s governing body, ruled that women who have more than 5 nano-mols per liter of testosterone in their blood—like South African sprinter and Olympic gold medalist Caster Semenya—must either compete against men, or take medication to reduce their natural testosterone levels. The IAAF stated that women in the five-plus category have a “difference of sexual…

These active users have achieved a basic understanding of terms and definitions related to the topic of Transgender Athletes
No, there should be a different category for transgender individuals.
Yes, but they should be encouraged to take medication and drugs that help their hormone levels match those in the gender category they compete in.
If women who are transitioning into man want to compete that is fine but man transitioning into a women should not be allowed to as they have a physiological advantage
Yes, and science should be reconstructed based around men and women's biological capabilities in order to more accurately inform sports on how to separate athletes based on ability capacity. As we continue research on gender and sexuality, it is becoming more apparent that historical research that created our "facts" around these subjects has been significantly biased in order to serve those in positions of power, further segregating and categorizing individuals to a false dichotomy.
A new class division should be opened for trans women and trans men
Athletes should compete against athletes who have the same sex biologically because of hormone levels, etc. Instead, looking into making sports team designed for those who are transgenderd would be a good idea.
They should be treated just like everyone else, because the only thing that's different is there love life.
Yes in amateur and in school events. Prrofessional sports should be able to create their own regulations.
Create athletic events and programs specifically for Trans people
it should be up to the teams to decide
Yes, it is none of the governments business.
They should be allowed to compete in an open no gendered category
It should be up to the league to decide what is appropriate.
Yes, but only in events that match the sex they were assigned at birth.
No because even if their hormone levels are equivalent they still have the skeletal structure advantage or disadvantage
Yes. As long as the athlete has taken hormone supplements (albeit testosterone or estrogen) for more than +1 year.
Yes, if they started hormone replacement earlier in life during puberty
Leave it to the experts to determine if such a decision could constitute an unfair advantage or disadvantage for the athlete and debate whether restraining an athlete from competing with their chosen gender could be unconstitutional - if so either banning domestic sports teams that divide us based on gender or preventing transgender athletes from competing where the outcome would be unfair and not unconstitutional.
Transgenders should compete in athletic events for transgenders only
yes in a category with other trans athletes
I do agree that they should be allowed to participate, but there should be some forms of agreement to the said person about do's and dont's. Because for instance a Trans man could identify as a woman but then potentially abuse that to make unwanted sexual advances, hence forms would be needed to be signed for both trans men and women.
it doesn’t matter to me.
@8XNRYWL3yrs3Y
Yes, but inly if the bone density is equivalent to those in the gender category in which they compete.
@8P8MHKS3yrs3Y
Generally not, but this will depend on the nature of the individuals transition to a different gender.
@8RJ7L484yrs4Y
@8S2LJ244yrs4Y
Transgender athletes should have their own trans category.
@7PTCG384yrs4Y
Yes, if they are over the age of 18 and their hormone levels are equivalent to those in the gender category in which they compete. Individuals under the age of 18 should compete based on the biological sex that is listed on their birth certificate
@7PTCG383yrs3Y
No, a separate category should be created in which transgender athletes compete against other transgender athletes of their current sex
@VikkiRoxxOk3yrs3Y
Start their own transgender competitions and leagues.
@2GB8K924yrs4Y
Yes, and end sexual segregation of sports (ie don't have men's leagues and women's leagues, have one league inclusive of all genders)
@8XZCH8R3yrs3Y
Their should be a trans league instead or only if their hormone levels are equivalent to those in the gender catergory which they want to compete
@8QDGPDL4yrs4Y
Transgender athletes should be allowed to compete in their own league at more competitive levels. For things like school sports they should be allowed to compete.
@8QDSNZY4yrs4Y
Yes, as long as they pass the same tests that sis gendered people must pass
