In 2016 the International Olympic committee ruled that transgender athletes can compete in the Olympics without undergoing sex reassignment surgery. In 2018 the International Association of Athletics Federations, track’s governing body, ruled that women who have more than 5 nano-mols per liter of testosterone in their blood—like South African sprinter and Olympic gold medalist Caster Semenya—must either compete against men, or take medication to reduce their natural testosterone levels. The IAAF stated that women in the five-plus category have a “difference of sexual…

This is a difficult question, but I feel that in extreme cases, an athlete has the opportunity to fake being transgender only to have an upper hand in opposing sport events. I lean towards no.
@8H6JLM35yrs5Y
Yes, but against other trans athletes competing at the same level to prevent any unfair advantages that cis or trans athletes could have.

I feel like transgender athletes have every right to compete. However, we need to make time to decide on new regulations/rules in order to move forward.
I do not care, if someone wants to play sports, let them play. if the loss of a soccer game ruins your life to the point you wont except someone for who they are then thats your own problem.

Trans-man (woman to man) should be allowed to compete, but trans-women should depend based on hormone levels because men have higher levels of hormones and different chemicals that make them stronger.
@8VJB7834yrs4Y
They compete in their own category.
@9395BMW3yrs3Y
There should be 2 different brackets of athletics made for Transgender athletes.
@8VLLY7S4yrs4Y
Transgender athletes should be allowed to compete in transgender sports.
@8VLHXVD4yrs4Y
Matter the situation. Still very iffy with everything and new research
@8QDSNZY4yrs4Y
Yes, as long as they pass the same tests that sis gendered people must pass
@7979QY94yrs4Y
Yes, I can only speak to MtF HRT, but going on HRT decreases muscle mass and bone density, thus effectively removing any actual differences. Honestly, I think gender classification should probably just be removed and replaced with just having sports be based on weight classification.

Yes, athletic competition is unfair by nature as it is naturally fuelled not only by training (controllable) but also by biology (uncontrollable). Extremes are present even within the sexes. Athletics should be separated not by gender or sex, but by skill.
@8QFWL9B4yrs4Y
No, cisnormative gendered leagues should be abolished, there should be a general & cis-woman league then anyone can make their own with whatever regulations.
@7PTCG383yrs3Y
No, a separate category should be created in which transgender athletes compete against other transgender athletes of their current sex
@8PSZWPL4yrs4Y
Yes, Sports shouldn’t be categorized by sex
@7PTCG384yrs4Y
Yes, if they are over the age of 18 and their hormone levels are equivalent to those in the gender category in which they compete. Individuals under the age of 18 should compete based on the biological sex that is listed on their birth certificate
@88L6JDC4yrs4Y
Sports should be based on ability not gender or sex
@8S2LJ244yrs4Y
Transgender athletes should have their own trans category.
