Should the government enact a stricter immigration policy?

I think we should still allow immigrants but look into their backgrounds better and don’t make it as easy to be a canadian citizen

yes but put a cap on immigration instead of outright cutting it.

They need to make the immigration channel fair to all countries not just some

I believe that it should be stricter in the aspect of screening for people with a criminal record but I also believe that the process should be easier for skilled workers because they will be contributing to the Canadian Economy.

Immigrants who have either passed the point test and/or will contribute to Canadian society, who have no to little crime background; should be able to immigrate to Canada

Not stricter but the government should monitor recent immigrants because I someone who has immigrant parents have noticed a lot of immigrants cause more problems for our society then benefit

Yes, we have too many immigrants, we need to make the process easier for skilled workers, we need to strictly monitor immigrants' criminal background, and ensure that recent immigrants are becoming productive citizens.
