i thought i said no to safe haven yes drug abuse is a health issue why? because it affects your body and overuse can kill or lead to an obsessive addiction which just is a prolonged death.

Some may argue that individuals should have the self control to contain themselves against addictions.

because there is no safe way to do hard drugs, although yes it is widely a health issue it can also be related to crime.

A bit of a grey area. If someone is addicted to prescription drugs in some cases as a result of an injury of some sort. Which should be treated as a health issue. But if someone is addicted to illegal drugs than that should be a criminal issue. Since they are illegal.

While I agree that it is a health issue more than a criminal issue, the problem is that addicts didn't start out as addicts. It was their decision to begin using drugs, so the problem lies at starting, not at continuous usage, as drugs can be seriously harmful for the mind and body.

It should definitely be treated as a health issue as addiction can cause many problems as well as mental health issues.
