If the drugs that they are trafficking can kill someone and it does then they shouldmspend life in prison

 @9F97JY4from Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

The ones caught trafficking drugs across borders and state lines are usually mules who have been enticed by threat or payment and have difficult circumstances. The likelihood that the decisions they made were made under duress are very high.

 @9DDB3M2from Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

No, people ask for drugs. I dont believe in the death penalty. Nor do I support it.

 @9D8CP57Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, if it is a fair trial and they are a repeat offender or if they can be directly linked to a death.

 @kuyugomodiLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…5yrs5Y

 @9WZ269R from Ontario  answered…6mos6MO

only if they are given a fair trial, have multiple offences regarding such, and if there is proof someone died with the use of the trafficked drugs.

 @9HCQ7MWfrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

No, they should be given a fair trail to determine their role in the drug distributions hierarchy, and then tried accordingly.

 @9FYP94Mfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

No. I believe they should serve longer sentences. And closer to life if someone died from drugs they trafficked.

 @9FR4LPXfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

No, we should never use the death penalty, and no one should be given life in prison, if they have proven themselves of good moral character.

 @98PN6J9from Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

 @96JJRBTfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

No, and we should nationalize the drug industry to reduce deaths and help them by discouraging the use.

 @955C627from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

No, and we instead focus on the issue of why people demand drugs in the first place.

 @93ZCWBCfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @fjamalConservativefrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only if they are repeated offenders and were given a fair trial.

 @8ZR6F7Tfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

No, not the death penalty. If a drug dealer knowingly taints the supply with fentanyl etc, and anyone dies, charge them with murder one.

 @8Z47MQGfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YQ3FS5from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Not One person in the whole world should ever be punished with the death penalty

 @8XZYC7Yfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

No, I do not believe in the death penalty and this crime would go away if we ended the war on drugs

 @8XZC2RVfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8XWHGV2from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

No, a reasonable time for their crimes, ban them from leaving the country unless directed by authorities and if someone died charge with manslaughter on top of the fair time for drug trafficking.

 @8XLTKJ6from Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but I think a heftier sentence should be applied for those who sell illicit drugs that result in serious health issues from manufacturing.

 @8X9YTJYConservativefrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

Only if drugs they sold to someone made them very sick or made them die.

 @8WW4CL8Liberalfrom Ontario  answered…3yrs3Y

i do not agree that drug traffickers should receive a death penalty depending on the extent of the criminal activity, criminals should have the right to be given a parole hearing after 10 years; releasing resident should be negotiated based off of the parole hearing.

 @8VXL57Dfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, sentence them to life without parole or the access to other prisoners.

 @8VT64LNfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

If someone died from drugs they trafficked. Life in prison with parole after 2/3 served

 @8VT239Yfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VJDW6Gfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No unless someone lost their life due to the substance they were trafficking

 @8VCCLZ3from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8VC645Lfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

It depends on the type of trafficker…if they are responsible for many deaths and destruction then yes but if they have not killed anyone then no

 @8VBYRCMfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TXNDT4from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No - but they should serve a maximum number of years - this pertaining how many times they have been convicted for this crime.

 @8TX7JTCConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Only if they committed murder on Canadian territory, or killed a Canadian abroad...

 @8TCHJB3from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8T9WJLTfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8SCRSMGfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No it should be a increasing sentance based on how many times the offense was comited and after a third offense life in prison

 @8RQTCTZLiberalfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, rehabilitation programs. There is a reason someone turned to that, maybe they had no other opportunity. Poor upbringing etc.

 @8QJ76VFfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8PPLF2TNew Democraticfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

no. stiff sentences though.. However if people have died due to their dealing actions.. if for instance they dealt dirty drugs, willfully.. that ought to be reflected in their sentence.

 @8PFRMCYfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, they should have a choice to go through with the death penalty or with life imprisonment

 @8PCKGHXfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, i only believe in the death penalty for people who are mass murderers and child rapists.

 @8P4J6XNfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8P3F3JTfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Only drug traffickers that sell drugs with a reputation for killing people , one example is purple phentynil contaminated drugs , another example may be scopolamine laced cocaine or any other drug that has been tampered with in a way that would make it more dangerous to use than what the pure drug should be.

All dealers selling such adulterated products should be put to death in order to prevent them from causing death.

Pure forms of cocaine, heroine, mdma, LSD-25 , and other drug favorites should be sold at pharmacies for a price that is lower than black market and for a much purer product.

Anyone who is suspected to be dealing in marijuana, hashish, cannabis oil, cannabis concentrates, psilocybe mushrooms, should be assumed to be sharing these items for free , and thus no reason to be charged or tried for any reason.

 @8L4Z3P2from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, instead help them get over their addiction and help them get the skills they need to get a proper job

 @8JY2N2Dfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

people who think they should get the death penalty should be burned alive

 @8DDHVTVfrom Ontario  answered…5yrs5Y

It depends on what the drug was and if it had killed someone getting to where it was. In this case for weed trafficking no but hard drugs life in prison

 @8CCRT5Jfrom Ontario  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, depending on where the person in question is on the chain of command

 @9BQBNYGfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

I don't think that drug trafficking is bad enough on it's own to warrant a death penalty or even a life sentence, but maybe 20 years will do

 @995K9DLfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

They should be sentenced to life. And sent to a corrections facility away from where their charges were as they could still have connections to the people around them.

Only for class 1 drugs which are proven to have huge negative social impacts.

 @8SHNHYVfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, if they're repeated offenders and if there is proof someone died from the drugs they trafficked.

 @8GPVK3SConservativefrom Ontario  answered…5yrs5Y

No but repeat offenders or traffickers guilty of violent crimes should have heftier sentences

 @8RD679Xfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but only for highly addictive and harmful substances such as opiates, methamphetamine, and cocaine/crack.
