Voting age should match military age. If you are old enough to carry a weapon in the army you are old enough to vote

 @9P9GMQYfrom Ontario  answered…10mos10MO

It's a slippery slope question a lot of people under 18 can be immature and not really have any interest towards elections however there are a lot of citizens under 18 that would take it serious so I'd say sure.

 @9MLSTMZfrom Ontario  answered…11mos11MO

16 year olds should be able to attempt a basic test demonstrating their understanding of politics so they can vote or they can wait till they are 18.

 @9KZ9LTCConservativefrom Alberta  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but I think there should be a basic test demonstrating their understanding of politics before they can vote

 @9GYC866Conservativefrom Ontario  answered…1yr1Y

Instead of having a minimum voting age they should have a competency test to make sure that voters are able to understand what the platform and promises each party offers

 @9FN6BM6from Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

It should be raised, and voters must demonstrate their understanding of politics

 @9XCL7LDfrom Ontario  answered…6mos6MO

Yes, it should be lowered to the age of 16 - as long as individuals take a quick test to prove their competence.

 @9WCQ8L4from British Columbia  answered…6mos6MO

Politics should be taught in schools, so kids can learn about politics, and should be aloud to vote at 16.

 @9TJNRKTConservativefrom Ontario  answered…7mos7MO

it should be lowered but they should have to take a test beforehand proving they know enough and are mature enough to be doing it.

 @9BMDJJNConservativefrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

No, and voters should be required to pass a basic test demonstrating their understanding of politics and the age should be raised for further knowledge

 @96R332Nfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Raise voting age to 25 to target an age group that has worked, paid taxes and have had time to educate themselves politically.

 @8VDBBDPConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, it should be raised to age 21 as well as taxation only coming into effect at age 21

 @8VCLRBHfrom Quebec  answered…4yrs4Y

It should not even be under the age of adolescent because young people have no idea if what they're voting for and parents can use that. They need to have a real job and no what life's about first

 @8VCGSHWfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

It should be 18 Nation Wide, and voters should be required to pass a basic test demonstrating their understanding of politics in order to vote.

 @8VB7VJSConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Younger citizens should vote, but purely as a way to show what the younger generation is leaning. It should not count towards the election.

 @8TTSYGRConservativefrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

Maybe to 16, if the school system teaches them the importance of voting and following what they believe in.

 @8THYJHNConservativefrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes but only when the voter has proven that they are educated enough to be voting.

 @8SP4VS9from Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but those who vote as minors at 16 must pass a basic test about Canada's political system.

 @8SBXN9Sfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

The voting age should be lowered to 16 for those who can pass a basic test on how Canada's political system works. Those who do not take this test or fail it can vote at 18.

 @8RZTDGCGreenfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y
