depends based on their immigration status at the time of their offence. If they're permanent residents or citizens, they should not be deported.

If they commited a serious crime in Canada, they should serve a longer prison sentence in return for not being deported. However, if they commited one in another country and then came to Canada, they should serve prison time in both countries.

No, they should be subject to the same rights as everyone else. The country in which they were born may not be safe AND they may have been only born there but raised here and don't even know the language so that isn't fair.

Yes, illegal immigrants should be deported and returned to their country, and those legal immigrants that commit a serious crime should serve the sentence appropriate for the crime, and should that same immigrant commit a second serious crime they should be deported back to their home country.
