Native funding is already excessive. We've been feeding them for 150 years and one could easily make the argument that they're no better off now than they were then. Best intentions...

Why should they deserve our money. Give money to the victims of residential schools and the rest don’t get anything

It is clear that aboriginal peoples have suffered horrible injustice and persecution. This has lead to a fractured society and individuals with a weak sense of cultural belonging. In turn, aboriginals are less likely to succeed in school, work and family life. Reparations must be made, but not in the form of money. Is it wiser to give a homeless person 20$ or to give them a warm meal? Casinos, cigarette stands and gun shops will not help aboriginals regain their sense of culture. Instead of handouts, the government should work with native leaders to determine investments that will benefit them the most. Rather than give a nation a lump sum and have them do with it what they will, a plan to build schools and other necessary societal infrastructure should be agreed upon and executed.

Natives have access to Canadian society, they should integrate into it and preserve their culture themselves.

Giving them money is a waste when they do not know how to use it properly to better their lives we need social programs to change the cycle generations are stuck in.

They are people given the same opportunity as everyone else and should be given the same funding. Also, nobody has been directly affected due to it being long tuimwe ago

 @B2YMX46Conservativefrom Ontario  disagreed…2mos2MO

They are canadian and should be treated the same as all others canadians. Also life isn't fair for anyone.

 @B2RVVM2Conservativefrom Alberta  disagreed…3mos3MO

if they arent a part of our society and fall under the control of our government they shouldnt recieve money from our government

 @9YM4YHWConservativefrom Ontario  disagreed…6mos6MO

Enough is enough, I don't get help to be canadian but am sure burdened by the support of a minority group and the issues of the past that have nothing to do with today. They can be treated fairly as every other canadian, not special

 @9YKV9VLConservativefrom Quebec  disagreed…6mos6MO

I believe they need to help them distribute the money better / more evenly to the band offices across Canada. No give more.

 @9FYMJ74Conservativefrom New Brunswick  disagreed…2yrs2Y

They already get more than enough hand-outs, natives aren't struggling because of racism, they're struggling because of their culture.

 @B4WFHNRConservative from Ontario  disagreed…5 days5D

They have enough funding already and I don't believe they want to be coddled.just provide them clean drinking water.
