maintain current funding along with assistance in the form of education, training, and social programs

 @B323YJRfrom Manitoba  answered…2mos2MO

More funding might be needed, but most importantly they need to always have a very strong and respected place at the table of discussion and any drilling, logging, or pipe expansion projects should always present their request to the relevant bands with neutral federal supervision to ensure that corporations are not underselling, extorting, manipulating, or using any dubious tactics

They should still be funded for the compensation of considering government took their land. but they don't need more in a sense if they're already getting more. idk...

This is not the correct question, rather it should be: are we meeting the obligations committed to during negotiations.

The indigenous community lost the war back in the day, its how things work. we shouldn't be treating them differently but we need to stop babying them. I've seen the reserves, they do next to zero work, they are becoming lazy because of the government.

Europeans did a lot worse to many different cultures aboriginals were just the only ones who were able to complain about it and prove it happened

 @9FQPK2Rfrom Manitoba  answered…2yrs2Y

No, instead give land back, support indigenous communities with equal rights and better social programming

 @9FB6NMRConservativefrom Manitoba  answered…2yrs2Y

I do not believe the reservations are working to serve the aboriginal population in a positive way

 @968QZDMfrom Manitoba  answered…2yrs2Y

I think they get paid a good amount and should keep paying it until they’re fully paid off I fully understand if they were frustrated but they don’t need that much

 @8Y86K77from Manitoba  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but it should be the governments responsibility to make sure reserves have basic human rights met.

No, current funding should be maintained or slowly lowered if they are born after a certain age, but they should have access to water and all other basic necessities.

 @8VLS9B6New Democraticfrom Manitoba  answered…4yrs4Y

I don’t think any funding is necessary but there should be the same drinking water at reserves that civilians within the city have

 @8VLC7NYfrom Manitoba  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, in addition to monetary finds, we should instead offer assistance in the form of education, training, and social programs.

 @8VL9BFYfrom Manitoba  answered…4yrs4Y

No and the government should be directly involved in the allocating of funds and what they are used for instead of just giving them money

 @8VBV4J6from Manitoba  answered…4yrs4Y

No, they should have no special founding they are in Canada and should be treated equally to every other Canadian. They should get apologize for what has happened in the past but that’s the past. Treat ever person as an equal no one is better or less then anyone else

 @8TYV78Ffrom Manitoba  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, and some of those funds should be allocated to enable each person access to strong, free mental health supports including medication, therapy, group discussions, and more

Just like for the rest of society, there should be some safety nets, not hammocks. But over a short period of time they need to be integrated with the rest of functioning society.

 @9BZDPMHfrom Manitoba  answered…2yrs2Y

Our native peoples need to have exactly all the same rules, standards and benefits as every citizen including land taxes on reservations

 @9BJHS9Qfrom Manitoba  answered…2yrs2Y

No and I think we shouldn’t even get money it’s almost like a free card for not working for money our older generation got sent to residential schools and it was bad but it’s not happening anymore so we shouldn’t get money

 @9BHHG63from Manitoba  answered…2yrs2Y

instead of giving money they should include them more into the county and do more programs that helps them like education mental help ect, also giving the correspondent land
