It depends on how finically stable they are now, and if they're not doing the best, their income could be increased.

We should allocate more money to band leaders and also support education training etc. Support leaders in their spending and accountability

Yes, and we give their land back along with assistance in the form of education, training and social programs so they can live on their land.

Maybe, Let them decide what they need. Structures to help give them jobs and not force our lifestyle and society on their culture. Allow them to be independent with support if needed.

 @8TYF9YNGreenfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

They should get their land back and have assistance for education, training, and social programs!

 @8TWJY4Sfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

We should give them loans with low interest rates to start businesses as long as they start paying taxes

Yes but also, we should offer assistance in the form of education, training, and social programs

 @8TNBZXSGreenfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but the funding should be put to better the reserves, for example water supply.

 @8RNRRCLGreenfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, aboriginals should be further compensated for their hardships and use of resources and we should work together to manage the land.

 @shaelynjfrom British Columbia  answered…4yrs4Y

fund each band the way they need to be funded, either through money, education, training, ect. also give them back their land and their rights, get rid of the indian act

 @Matt117589Greenfrom Alberta  answered…4yrs4Y

No, assisting a population financially based of ethnic background is belittling, and racist. Assisting all populations that have a low socioeconomic background is more productive for society

 @8PN7HVXGreenfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

Aboriginal peoples in Canada should have the right to self-determination who are not forced to rely on government funding.

 @9CJGFV4Greenfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Governments should follow all established treaties (which have been ignored for over 100 years), which will provide the indigenous ample funds for self-determination. There should also be reparations for the schools, the "Sixties swoop", etc.

 @99SFVZ9from British Columbia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but I don't agree with how the funds are currently allocated, and I think that instead of monetary funds, we should instead offer assistance in the form of education, training, and social programs if they want it.

 @98TKB9KGreenfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

Dangerous question, should we not honor the fact this land was stolen? Or do we say it's been long enough and they should just take an "L"? Maybe instead of giving land back we sit down and ask them what they want instead of thinking we know what they want.

 @98RCD6Yfrom Ontario  answered…2yrs2Y

I don’t think money is the issue. I heard reserves aren’t nice. That’s a bigger issue. If it was just as good as any neighbourhood with access to resources I think that would at least be a better starting point.
