The Aboriginal Band councils need to be a part of Parliment and the Senate. Then thier voices can be heard, and needs adressed.

Yes and the government should stop taking more of their lands. Military action should also be used less in dealing with protests.

As an indigenous citizen, the government funding causes more divided between aboriginal people and non-aboriginal peoples. By giving more to one population then the other, we will never succeed to be an equal society.

Indigenous people definitely deserve compensation; however, further discussion needs to take place for appropriate funding to happen.

No. They should get all of their land back that was taken with a promise of being returned. They should not be able to use their tax exempt outside of the reserve, and they should be forced to pay back any monies that were given to them for projects that they have just destroyed.

Yes, but should be directed towards things that will actually make a substantial improvement in their quality of life.

Release ALREADY OWNED funds to Indigenous Organizations that show fiscal responsibility, allow them to self-govern.

Yes, and the government should give them their land back. Also, we should offer assistance in the form of education, training and social programs, and abolish the Indian Act.

Take the Truth and reconciliation act seriously, and follow the recommendations laid out, it will solve all the problems

 @8CPRVQFfrom Alberta  answered…5yrs5Y

I think there should be monetary compensation as well as education, training, and social programs

 @8PDQ35Dfrom Ontario  answered…4yrs4Y

The systems of dealing with Indigenous issues are fundamentally flawed and need extreme changes to be effective, whether or not that involves changing government funding
